Dr Rice is a fully qualified General Surgeon, fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and the Royal College of Surgeons in England.

Dr Jonathan Rice is a member of a multiple surgical societies and a Clinical Lecturer in the Australian National University Medical School.

Dr Rice is proficient in the management of a broad range of surgical conditions. From hand disorders such as carpal tunnel disease and Dupuytrens contracture, malignant melanoma and other cancers of the skin. Laparoscopic treatment of hernias, gallbladder disease, acute abdominal conditions eg appendicitis.

Public Hospitals

Dr Rice has regular operating lists at Moruya District Hospital and also services Batemans Bay Hospital, which are both public hospitals.

Waiting lists apply to all elective procedures in public hospitals and preference is not given to privately insured patients. If you have already been booked for a procedure and have queries about the waiting list please refer to the NSW Department of Health Website.

For the information of patients with private health insurance, Dr Rice is a member of the no gap scheme at Moruya District Hospital and Batemans Bay Hospital. This means that you will not be out of pocket for any procedures at these hospitals if you use your private health insurance.
